This is an elegy to the Coleman Center. For a period of time, thanks to the initiative of Tut and Harry Riddick, and the continued support of the taxpayers and foundations, the Coleman Center of York, Alabama provided a haven for artists in Alabama. Now unfortunately, the pleasure of Rooster Days is gone and beloved institutions such as Black Belt Design and York Show Print have had to find other homes.
